This is an attempt to start a book club on readliterature.com
To get things started, I picked the book for the month of September:
Mordecai Richler's The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz: Mordecai Richler is a Canadian author who died
recently (1931 - 2001), and "The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz" is one of his most highly praised books.
This is from the cover of the book: "The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz is the novel that established Mordecai
Richler as one of the world's best comic writers."
If you are interested in participating, then ... quite simple really, just read the book and ... I don't know ...
maybe write in here what you thought of it. I think we all know how the so-called "book clubs" function.
For November and onwards I am looking for a mechanism of picking books. The best method seems to be to
collect suggestions and choose one of the suggested books by majority.
Please let me know what you think. I am expecting book recommendations and wise rules (i.e. to make it fun
and interesting) for our newly found book club.
Most importantly, keep reading, Duddy Kravitz or otherwise.

It most certainly is! Most of CouplandÕs novels are interesting - ÒGeneration X,Ó ÒShampoo Planet,Ó etc. -
ÒMicroserfsÓ is his best. He may not always peak in his performance, but he has moments when he a cut
