Alexandre Dumas Pére

 

During France's July Revolution, Alexandre Dumas was among the Paris mob that looted the now-gone Palais des Tuileries, then the official residence of King Charles X. While inside the royal chambers, the novelist found a copy of his play Christine, which he stole!
